About the Place
Located in Shreveport, Louisiana, China Flag stands out as a favored destination for Chinese buffet lovers in the northern Louisiana area. The restaurant offers a wide range of Asian-inspired dishes, with fresh vegetables, flavorful fried meats, and an impressive cook-on-demand hibachi station. Many customers praise the freshness and variety of the food, highlighting how the buffet stays well stocked throughout their visits.
The atmosphere at China Flag complements the dining experience with a welcoming and clean environment. While the building and some facilities, such as the restrooms, may show signs of age, the attentive staff and quick service more than make up for it. Visitors consistently mention the friendly service and overall atmosphere as major positives.
Among the highlights, the buffet's affordability is notable — with weekday prices around $10 per person, it offers great value without compromising quality. The sushi selections may not be perfect for every palate, as some reviews note a disproportionate rice-to-filling ratio, but the variety remains commendable. Desserts could benefit from some refinement, yet the overall food quality keeps guests returning.
In essence, China Flag delivers a reliable and enjoyable dining experience that balances taste, variety, and price. Whether you're craving a quick lunch or a hearty dinner, this spot offers a dependable escape into classic Asian flavors, anchored by fresh ingredients and solid cooking techniques. For those in the Shreveport/Bossier area seeking a satisfying Chinese buffet, China Flag certainly earns its reputation.
“ It was my first time at the restaurant. The food and atmosphere were great. ”
“ One of the better Chinese buffets I like to go to in northern Louisiana. Food is always better than I expect with fast service. During the weekdays it's a little over $10 a person so it's quite affordable. Probably my favorite Chinese buffet in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Both locations have the same foods. ”
“ This is our favorite Chinese buffet to eat town! The building might be a little old, and the restroom is a little rundown, but for the price you can’t beat the food! It is always fresh and well stocked. They even have a cook on demand hibachi. Staff are very attentive, and we’ve never had any issues. It’s nice to have a dependable place to eat where you can count on good service, great food, and quality. ”
“ This is a nice Asian-focused buffet with a variety of selections. The food was mostly tasty, but the sushi had too much rice and too little filling, making it dry and challenging to enjoy. There were fried dishes in abundance—many of them meat-based. A few items, like the ice cream, seemed very cheap, either tasting fake or being tasteless altogether. But overall, the selections were nice. The restaurant was fairly clean except for the restroom, which was very poorly kept and quite disgusting. All the food seemed fresh and safe to eat, and the tables were tidy. I recommend this place if you just want to try a decent Asian buffet, and aren't looking for the tastiest food in town. It was a decent experience to eat here, but I don't have much desire to return. ”
“ We dined there for lunch today. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. There were a lot of good choices, fresh vegetables and dessert. There was a gentlemen that serviced the tables. He did not ask if we needed more tea but that was not a big deal. If you like Chinese food, you won't leave there hungry. ”
